I have a JBL gti w12 mkii running off of a Hifonics brz 1200.1 at 3ohms, should the dust cone be getting warm after 20 mins of bumping at %80 volume?

Well, the amp doesn't have a "gain" knob, but I have the bass boost at half, the input voltage at 4v and the high pass/crossover at 100 hertzWarm is normal, hot can be bad. How did you set the gain and ssf (if ported)? Do you smell anything?
how do you know that the gains are set at 4 volts?Well, the amp doesn't have a "gain" knob, but I have the bass boost at half, the input voltage at 4v and the high pass/crossover at 100 hertz

it canI've made sure that it isn't clipping. I also have an MS-8 don't know if that changes anything.
most loc's have a adjustable gain controlIt's what was recommended to me by a car audio shop near me, but people say with the MS-8 has pre outs of 2 volts, so that may be it
