wanting recommendations for a 1000w amp

I currently have 2 sd-2 dual 2 10"s and im looking for a ~1000w amp to compliment it. Price range would be around $200. Doing research so when I get the money I can jump on it. Ideas anyone?

I like the Boston idea and the kicker as well but with kicker...its a pride issue. I want to have a unique system and everyone has kicker. If it comes down to it I'll go for it though

Not many options for a 2ohm load for that price. Kicker will be more available

PPI Phantom P1000.1. The Sonicelectronix price is $210 shipped. Find some kind of coupon code or make an offer to them, and you can probably have it for under $200. The rating is 580watts RMS at 4ohm, 1000watts at 1ohm. My understanding is that this amplifier is somewhat underrated. It would be nice if someone took a measurement. The Polk D1000.1 amplifier that's widely believed to be based on the same board as PPI is rated a bit higher, but costs more. I'd skip the usually recommended MB Quart/Hifonics.. If you could afford more expensive amplifier, Boston Acoustics GTA-1000m would be a good choice. Though, those always cost a bit more than competition.. This could be the last chance to get hold of this car audio history piece as BA is exiting car audio business right now. In fact, it looks like some online vendors now offer it for something like $220.

If you can find a used Alpine MRX-M100(for the range) it can do 1k@2ohms great amp

Leaning towards BA at the moment. Heard their sq is great though I dont know if the sq would do anything for 2 sd-2s
