want to switch over for SQ

im looking to upgrade (or downgrade to some of you spl folks) into a more sound quality based audio system for my honda civic coupe. im selling my 2 12" L7s & hifonics bx1500d to some buddies of mine and gonna use that cash for something new.

id like to hear some recommendations on what sub(s) and amp that will offer superior SQ with a hint of SPL; (SQL?).

my budget is around the $350 mark for the enclosure, sub(s), and amp. i already have 4ga wire ran thru my vehicle. listening habits are mainly rap/hip-hop/trance/techno/dance. this will be my first ever SQ setup

i prefer to order brand new items from http://www.onlinecarstereo.com or other legit sites (NOT ikesound though).

You should start by searching the term SQL as many have done what you are doing. Good luck!

What do you have for a front stage? Remember several hundred dollars of your budget must go to that if you're building an SQ setup...

Something like a used Adire Shiva would be killer if you could find one...there was a guy selling a eD 10A.22 not too long ago, look into something like that.

my front stage are polk db 6500 components amped with an alpine 4-ch amp. my rear fill are jbl gto 936 3-ways. getting 40wrms to each speaker. not the greatest front stage, but just what im trying to work with.

you should be able to get more then 350 for the 2 L7's and the hifonics. But my suggestion is keep the amp get that 15" avalance for 215 shipped in the classifids and build your own enclosure for like $30 bucks.

You could keep the amp, and depending on how much you sell the subs for, you could get an Rl-p and build your own box.

..there was a guy selling a eD 10A.22 not too long ago, look into something like that.

And that guy still has it for sale too He also has a BNIB Alumapro Alchemy RX which is like one of the ultimate SQL/SPL subs out there
