i DO wonder about that point cut into the choke. Have you seen that done somewhere? or did I miss it?

I did it the same way on the last one I built ( pair of 10's ) worked quite well. So I figured I would try it again. If it hinders performance, I'll simply take it out and replace it . Just have to do a little sanding to remove the glue and mdf that broke off after wards. But we'll see how it works out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I've just never seen that piece at a point....mine was rounded, it just might be a point for your buddy's 'port noise' thought.

You've got me wanting to build another one now:naughty:

Table saw, clean yes, dead on accurate not quite. Had to go back and fill in a few of what should have been perfect matching angles. I need to tighten up my fence n the saw. It's been a while since it has been done. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

OMG, I'm jealous of your box building skills, Also it looks amazing and I would love to hear what you have to say about it's output because that decware site is really making them out to be the bombness.

sure. My baffles weren't even, so box building>me. That aside....

The Wicked One isn't an SPL monster but it IMO it does do a GREAT job of tight, accurate, low, loud, smooth bass. It boasts flat response from 150hz down to 18hz. I haven't tested that, but it'll bring up lows that just don't exist with other box designs. More like the range of sealed with the loudness of ported with none of the drawbacks of either design. There's other adjectives I could put in, but basically it DOES sound awesome. It's not the smallest enclosure you can put in a car and that IS a drawback.

The WO can make CRAPPY woofers sound WAY better than they should. I grabbed a pair of Bazooka 1214's $55 for BOTH with a 3 year warranty and a pair of Polk GNX124's from CC and have used them in both the WO and DBk212's with great success.

If you have room, for the price, you can't go wrong. I've read you can screw it up pretty good and still get good sound from it too!
