Just bought a car with no head unit, looking for one for the dirt lol The cheaper the better. Must have at least 2 sets of preouts. Cd player must work. Ipod hook up is not a issue. Nothing over $40 the lower the better. Thanks for looking.

The only problems with it is the buttons on the faceplate. 3 sets of 4V preouts. AUX in. CD/MP3, 7-band equalizer (*need the remote to adjust these to a custom EQ curve). No remote.

They don't always go towards the intended functions (seek back button sometimes changes the band from FM to AM). Image (changing background image) sometimes doesn't work... Face eject button sometimes doesn't spring back. When pressing the Image button, the screen sometimes goes out, but comes right back. I would guess the board inside the faceplate is where most of the problems lie. It is around 85% functional (all buttons DO WORK, but have problems working sometimes.) 65% cosmetic. (Buttons have wear on them, and face has slight blemishes.) It served me well for 2 years, but with my new car, I'm going to do OEM integration, or a double din screen. So, no use for this, and I could use the cash to get the new car legal.

EDIT : You can also buy a remote, and the unit would be perfect. The problems only consist on/inside the faceplate. With a decently working faceplate (such as mine), you could get a very nice headunit for less than $50 shipped.

Got an older Jensen in dash DVD player. Great resolution on the screen has remote. IS a bit picky about playing some DVDs but plays CD's fine (though not MP3's anymore for some reason?).

Has 2V pre amp outs but it DOES do 5.1 surround sound which is pretty sweet. Also has a couple AV aux inputs for game system/ipod/whatever.

I think the eject button is a little iffy and gets out of line sometimes but a little wiggling with a small screwdriver will realign it.

Gimme a day if you need current pics...it's burried in my closet...an old pic:
