Want a new headunit so what would fit

i have a low end panasonic thats a Cq-3305u, in a 1998 accord and want another head unit that has ipod direct and some better sound options, and more bells and wistles, but i want something that i can use the same harness and what not for basically because im to lazy to sit down and install a whole nother one again

Well pannys and JVC should use the same harness. So you could try a JVC deck.

I don't ever remember seeing a jvc that used the same harness as a panasonic. JVCs look like sonys, but are pinned differently. The cd1000 eclipse was the same as most JVCs as well.

i would suggest you just crimp or solder your wires. only take a little bit of time and your options for a headunit would then be endless.

I thought there were application specific wiring harness install looms made so you wouldn't have to wire everything by hand? Plug and play, no?

Hm, JVC and Panny are manufactured under the same parent comapny. I only assumed they might be interchangeable.
