My friend bought the walmart kit for like 24 bucks..... and he only needed one set of the RCA jacks... I have regular wires running for my RCA's and then i put RCA heads on the regular wire... But do you guys think that i should swap them out for the extra set of RCA's that i have left over from that kit???

Honestly? I would invest in some good quality RCA's if I where you. The ones you made, I'm not sure if you made em good.. lets assume you did. They're gonna be better than the Walmart ones. Those have almost no sheilding at all. I don't know what wire you used on your RCA's, but you deffinetly need sheilded wire for signal quality. Get your hands on a good pair of them, don't waste your time on the walfart ones.

Well the RCA's that i used to top off the monster 14awg oxygen free speaker wire, i cut off of some RCA jacks i found layin around my house, the wire used inside was 16guage with a plastic peice down the center.... And i spliced the two together preaty good. But i mean they have worked since day one, and i have been running them for almost a year now, and no problems.. So i mean if they are workin and they are worknig good, then why upgrade?

my headunit doesnt have rca outputs (dont ask) So I spliced rca jacks onto the inputs as well. So long as the connections are good and the wires are isolated from one another you should be just fine.
