lol yea i know... that looked like crap. if i would have went through with it i would have def made it look better. that was just the box. the ugly @ss square was only a temp port for it. and the wood behind the port was just the removable face in order to get the sub out of the box. its a 4th order box that i was going to wall off in my c-pillar for my single 18" hdc3 18, but i changed my mind due to reading that hdc3's in sealed enclosures have issues. so i ended up not going through with it.

Got ya and I was probably the one that told you not to try the HDC in a 4th order. I tried a few years ago, was ok on low power and not so good on lots of power.

How much harder would it be in a car rather than a truck or suv?

The degree of difficulty is higher in a car. Typically because in trucks or suvs you can do much of the build outside of the truck and slide it in. In car that typically does not happen and you are required to build inside the car.

The other issue is a car can be a bit tricky for getting the volume needed for larger setups and it can be a little harder to find ways to bolt it to the car itself. Where with trucks/suvs those issues are not really issues at all.

I've had 2 diff walls in my current daily driver which is a trunk car now. You can't tell it was ever walled.
4dr cars are much easier then 2dr, but either can be done. There is really nothing about a wall that is permanent. Expanding foam or glassing trim panels can get messy, but even that can be made to look stock again.

Build it inside the car and contour it to every small little cavity. The down side though.... it is a bit of a pita to do.

Yeah I'm not the greatest box builder yet though. Lots of sanding needed on alot of my boxes. Lol and there's noone in town that can help me build really. Want to order one but I won't be able to get it into my car when its all put together probably.... Would I be able to take out my seats and get it in there? Or would I run into the shifter still?

How would I bolt that to my seat?

I use 1/8" strap steel to make brackets and try to use existing rear seat belt bolt holes and sometimes rear strut bolts. Other times I've had to weld in brackets when there is no way to attach them to good factory locations.

Subs would make kind of a popping sound as the sealed enclosure was limiting excursion, not letting the sub move in/out like it wanted to...
