Some quick info before I get into the questions.
Trying to keep it organized so its easy to read. Hopefully I
answered the general questions.
My previous systems were a pair of Incriminator Audio Lethal
Injections 15" on a AQ3500.1. Then I got 4 SA-10s on the same
amp. Now I got a new car looking to go alot bigger.
Budget: $1500-$2000 for starters.
Goals: Nice background bass when its turned down low, But being able to crank it up and shake the ground while throwing impressive numbers. Would like to be able to do a pretty nice hair trick.
Car Details:
Year: 2010
Make: Hyundai
Model: Genesis Coupe
Trim: GT 3.8L V6
System Details:
Subs: 2 12"s
Power: 3500-7000 Watts
Box Type: Wall in rear seats, Aeroport. probably around 34Hz tuning.
Music: Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B
Questions:
1.) I am looking to stay in the low 300$ per sub range. Ive been looking into running SQ HDC4 12s. Is there better subs I am missing in this range? I looked at sundown X models and still lean toward the HDC4s.
2.) What is the recommended net space (after displacement) needed for said subs in question 1?
3.) I was thinking when I get the dual 12s I will run like a single SQ3500.1 to the pair. Then as I get some more cash upgrade and add one more SQ3500.1 for 7000W. From my understanding when i strap master/slave itll keep 7k Watts but make it 2ohm stable. now my subs are (as a pair) only going to be 1ohm stable or 4ohm stable. so how would i go about running each sub seperately to get 2ohm load each that way i get the 7k split between them at 2ohm as well. i dont want to run 1ohm wiring then push my amps at .5ohm each and frying electrical/blowing my subs from like 11k watts
4.) What is the best place to buy a HO Alt for a 2010 Genesis coupe (premade or have one wound)?
5.) What type of battery bank would I be forced to run for 3500 & 7k range, and whats the best brand to get the biggest deal for the money?
6.) I plan on doing big 3 upgrade with 1/0AWG OFC wire, but will 1 run of wire to the battery bank, then 1 run from batteries to amp be sufficient? If not, which runs would need to be doubled?
7.) I will be running with stock Headunit as I have a nice navigation system bluetooth and the whole 9 yards. Will a LOC with a grounding wire be sufficient? I planned on tapping into the stock 6" Free floating sub in the back dash. Will I have static or distortion? Should I remove the back sub or will a simple HPF/LPF block that out so Im not forced to remove it?
8.) Am I missing anything else ? is there another recommended route in my budget I should look at? Trunk space is small so i feel like my only route to get a loud system would be wall in the back seats (not a whole lot of room, so will most likely remove the back bench seat if possible).
Thanks for any and all responses!
