I just remember my last ooops cost me over $100 before it was all said and done

if you are with wachovia, that is because they charge $30 for every transaction in overdraft.

that is common among most banks.

Fees are slowly becoming the greatest source of revenue for banks.

I've never had any fees or anything from Bank of America for not having direct deposit. Never had a fee or penalty because of low balance. Now i have been penalized for overdraft but that's really the only problem i've had, and it was my dumbass fault for not paying attention.

And for using a non Bank of America ATM is usually just a 2$ fee. But that's not a problem most of the time because Bank of America's are everywhere around here.

Wachovia is known for Customer Service. If you call them and need to be transferred, they will stay with you on the line until you get a live person. In my experience, BofA customer service isn't that great but I dropped them years ago.

BofA just started charging me for a checking account I have had for 6 years for free. There went $40 before I knew it.
