W7's are they worth it?

Acutally I had one on order along time ago!! After hearing the sub in different setups I wasn't impressed as much as the hype had me believe. It's a very nice sub and I won't knock it down. I haven't heard any idmax outperform a W7 in SQL and I won't be convinced so don't try.... LOL

W7s are for followers - peeps who like to overpay for brand .

They are old school already and slowly becoming obsolete..

There is so many better subs out there already and at half the price

why bother .........

People complain about price, but the fact of the matter is, it is an exceptional performer no matter what. They are readily available for far less than retail if you do some searching.

You can buy a Corvette that performs as well as a Ferrari, but it's still just a Corvette.

JL has gotten to the top of the heap for a reason and we all know why.

I had an idmax for a while and absolutely loved it. Ive never owned a w7 but have known a few people who had and I liked the sound of the idmax a lot better. The idmax seemed to be pretty close to the w7 in output, just seemed the w7 had more low end

lol, put them in a real HO box , basically a slot port //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif . The box i built off jl s specs alone was alot louder.. Well boomier and played lower.. The jl HO box was great for a really wide bandwidth.. I did like how it played 30-40 hz just like 60-70 hz.. Sounded good just not the type of sound for me i guess

I say NO, they're NOT worth it. The bang for the buck is just not there. The same can be said for their amps.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Edit: Not that I can talk, I paid alot for my PRS subs. They whoop the W7 in SQ however.
