I was going to suggest that, or the RE SE. What makes you think the SE doesn't sound good? They can be found brand new on ebay for $140-ish. Also consider the OZ Audio ME. One last suggestion if you are looking for a nice sub in a small space: Critical Mass LS102 or LS122.

We have played with my brother's SE in a variety of ported boxes, including the exact ones recommended by RE and I just thought it was always a little muddy...Never had it sealed however. My concerns with it is that the basket may be a bit large for the enclosure it is going in...the shape it odd to fit under my rear seat.
