Ok, so I'm gonna make a 70" Flatscreen that's really kick *** and stuff and sell it for $25k. Sony makes one thats just as nice but it's $10K. Is mine overpriced?

I was referring to the MSRP of the comparable speaker. But yes, the W7's is around 700, iirc.

lots of people choose an MTX 9500 to the Dub7, and they cost less. Don't know the exact MSRP

IMO JL is not overpriced, but rather expensive. you know absolutely you will get a great product buying JL in regards to subs and amps. intenet brands such as FI, RE, Sundown, etc..from what i've read (never used any of the boner brands around here) are very good but ARE NOT well established as JL, hence the reason for their high price. doesn't mean its overpriced. It's a proven product and trust me most companies strive to reach the success JL Audio has had. While other companies such as RF, Alpine, Phoenix Gold, Soundstream, PPI had early success but quality wise haven't had the best of years of late, JL Audio not only has gone commercial with their stuff but has also kept the level of engineering that is up to par with a car audio hobbyist. Every sub that comes out, will always be compared to a JL sub. There is a reason for that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

Its not a matter of weather they're overpriced or not. It's the fact that he dosen't sound like he's to concerned with SQ. Or SQL for that matter. Rather having something loud and having the JL nametag.

I am concerned with sound quality, but i want some bump, i have heard the fi and re make extremely good subs, but ive also heard that when it comes to the w6 and w7 the sq cant be beat

So you'd pay roughly an extra 600 dollars on a sub becasue the company is "well established." You must mean that because thats why its more expensive according to you.
