W6 refoaming kit or fixes?

The foam on my 13W6 has developed some cracks where it attaches to the the cone. About 1/4 of it is ripped completely. I was looking for a refoam kit, but am unable to find one for a 13.5 W6v2. So I have begun an attemp to repair this one. So far Ive CA glued the foam back together, and am now looking for tips on a product to coat the rest of the foam to stop any further ripping. The whole surround seems to have developed a crack. Its not ripped yet, but I want to stop it from any further damage. I was looking for some kind of flexible type stuff to coat it with. So far I have heard silicone, but Im not keen on that idea yet. any other? Thanks.

most of the stuff that youcould put on the foam wouldnt help too much. have you tried calling jl for a fix. i had a 10w6v2 re foamed for a coustomer about 3 months ago by them. i think it was around $70 including shipping and inshurance.

yes. I have sent an email to JL requesting a surround. Still waiting... I also called a bunch of JL dealers to see if they could order one for me. No joy.

But im gonna test this stuff out.
