I'm deciding to stick with JL subs.

I was wondering which subs do you guys choose to go into a 1 cu ft custom fiberglass box for my s2000.

It'll be a 12'' sub.

Both subs require slightly larger enclosure, use some padding inside and then depends are you purchasing a new amp for it or not?

From what I've heard, the W7 is louder than the 6, but the 6 sounds better.

Given that info, make your choice.

I would go W6 for its sq over the W7

Keep in mind that they can both get fairly loud and both sound quite good.

I would say go to a local dealer and audition each woofer yourself. Some people say that the W7 has a whooosh sound to it but i had a 12w7 and I really liked the way it sounded but If you want tighter more accurate bass then go with the w6.

Yeah....though I am selling the w7 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I've only heard a w6 before. That thing itself can get loud but it's quite accurate. I can't even imagine how much the w7 pounds.

I've owned both subs. The w7 has more output, the w6 sounds better.

If output is your concern, get two W6's. They will match a single w7 and will be close in price.

By the way, I'm still selling two w6s. They are 10s, though. They match the output of a single 10" w7. Just an FYI.

I have a single 10W7 in one of the JL HO boxes, and the output is crazy.. I cant get over how low a single 10 inch sub can hit.. Dual 12W6 might be a good option.. My buddy has this runnin off a 1000/1 and loves it
