W505 not clean enough for me.. Need a cleaner sounding HU.

I have the w505 hooked up with the H701 but i feel the sound is not 'FULL' I feel like the midrange is lacking even after tuning the h701. This was initially the case when i had installed the w505 w/o any amps or the processor.

Whats funny is big red just won an SQ competition with this exact unit. I say user error or shitty speakers.

It can't be user error.. atleast i dont think so because the stock head unit produced music BETTER than the w505.. alteast it sounded better to me may be just because there was a lot of mid range and it used to give out strong midrange sounds, and the speakers were stock .. i mean the magnet size on them was a size of a quarter coin, and with no external amp connected.

As soon as i replaced the stock HU with the w505 the mid range is gone.. its very very dull, not strong at all.. and the music is dry, its not ''full''

I can't really say speakers are shitty because i believe the CDT es-62i have to be better than my stock ones that i had before the CDTs.

So any other recommendations?
