w0's compared to Assassin?

right now i have two 12" W0's. and was wonder how they compared to the 12" assassins. i am think i would like to get 2, but am wondering if it is worth it.

seriously, the assasins are killer drivers, dont let there looks fool you! infact ive owned over 6 of them. and am currently building a 6cube@25Hz box for the 2 12's i just recieved. should be a killer setup(its even replacing my brahma!)

just because it doesnt have a 12 spoke basket/chrome motor does'nt mean its not a good sub...

I cant say anything about the assasins, but why not step up to the new W1's from JL.....if you liked the output of the WO's, you will love the W1's. Much improved sub......rubber surround, poly cone, larger voice coil and motor than the WO's.

I would take the JLs for SQ and the Assassins for SQL.

Your budget is 200-250 for each sub? or in total?

If for each sub, then step up to the v3's. Wont be disappointed for SQ.

I figured total.....that is why I recommended the W1's. I paid $120 for mine.

Ummmmm..........how do yall figure this??? The W1 and W3 use better materials in the build.......poly cones vs paper.......blade terminals vs nickel plated push.......virtually the same power handling.......the only thing that looks clearly better about the assassin is the price. So a fancy cone and terminal makes a sub? If you base your purchases off of that. I feel sorry for you. I geuss roadmaster subs are better than the assasins too because they use spun aluminum cones and nickeplated push terminals and similar rated power handling.

Also, read the post. w1v2 and w3

And it MAY be better than thoes (w3v2 and anything v3), But I dont have experence with them past hearing many installs with w3v2's. I have first hand experence with w0's, w1v2's, and w3's.

Oh and you may want to take a look at the RE RE series. Paper cones, blade terminals, 175w RMS power handleing...and they did quite well in the great 8 challenge.
