VW Jetta TDI

I had an 08 jetta 2.5 and I loved it. It wasn't a diesel but it was a great car. Handling was awesome and stabilty was stellar. 80-90 MPH felt like nothing. I hear that the diesel is a little bit quicker. The ***** is great too.

Well, I don't really want a car at all, but my current truck isn't going to cut in ATL. I love it, and don't want to get rid of it all, but it is going to happen since it's a 4 dr lifted truck. I considered putting it back stock height, but it would still be a pain parking. I thought about an ext. cab short bed truck, but better fuel mileage would be nice. Of all cars, I figure a diesel is about as manly as I can get on a +/- 15k budget. I might just end up with a Jeep Grand Cherokee, Explorer or other midsize SUV for ~10k, though. I just need a daily driver to get me around town. Performance isn't too big of an issue since I can't afford accessories being in school.

Just for reference, my current truck.

Go for it! You'll average 40-45 mpg. More with a stick. You can do tons of things to the engine and it'l run forever.

I was gona get one but i want my Nissan 4x4 hardbody //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It's also better for the environment because they dont have thous **** ion batteries that are such a pain to mine and manufacture. Nobody talks about that thou.

I've really been thinking about a Golf TDI for the future. Mod kits for straight veggie oil aren't too expensive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yep. And no possibility of having to dispose of highly toxic batteries down the road...or having to be dependent on regular gasoline at all...Europe and VW have gotten the message about highly fuel efficient diesels for a while.

i saw a audis tdi engine on the lemans raace track once.

its so powerful with no sound at all. the only thing i heard was the car tires friction and cutting through the air.

i was waiting till they released it for production.. how exciting
