VT Shooter on Campus

Wow...crazy stuff going on here in campus. I was in class at Whittemore during that time and we went on lockdown. My friend and I snuck out to go back to our dorms, though. One of my friends was in GPS Theory and Design in Norris...got shot twice in the leg...he's ok, but a little hungry in ICU.
I'm hearing all these reports on how this should have been avoided, and it's all really pissing me off. This was an unpredictable act by a lone person...and could have happened on any campus. The fact that reporters and people are trying to put blame on someone (notably, Steger) is completely ridiculous.

Yea I heard them trying to blame the school and coax the students into saying it as well. Good for them for not falling for it.

Here at GT we are having a memorial tomorrow at 4.

Yeah, for the most part students are completely supporting Steger and the administration's actions. I am completely happy that we are defending our university to the fullest.

ye..u're right about for the most part...there was a few students that was on tv earlier...they was upset, cuz to them it seems as if they let the man wander around, 2 hours between the 2 shootings...i dunno wut to make of all this, durrin tha press confrence that one guy kept changin his story...but ye, very horrid day, i know my campus is gonna have some kinda safety thing prolly wed...

ye..i'm glad i'm not tha only one that thinks this just ain't addin up...i mean **** 2 hours is a long time....but then again, i wasn't there so i wont say too much...cuz i know how tha media goes, my kslule was on national tv for that high skule drug raid, and the media basically lied about a bunch of things..

wow hard to believe we have people here that go to Vtech or know people that were shot...i keep reading the first post of this thread over and over and it gives me chills to realize that he said that in the middle of all this happening...scary

He was a Chinese national. But nothing else.

It's been 15 hours and the killer still hasn't been ID'd....there had been no names of anyone deceased officially for at least 10-12 hours after the shootings.
