i would agree its likly due to the family aspect of it, look back say 40 yrs ago, back then life was different, people actually ate dinner at the same table with their parents each night, parents talked to their kids, and kids were taught right and wrong, these days there are far to many single parents letting their kids run wild and no one teaching them right from wrong, or having a positive roll model in their lives, thats my $.02 worth

If this is over a girlfriend then what the funk? If she is causing you that many problems she is obvisously not worth your time. Jealously is such a big thing in the world today, what the hell? I agree with Mike that too many parents just let their kids go by the wayside and do whatever the hell they want. Its because so many people get butthurt about a kid getting disciplined these days...

Not that I think American society has fallen to such a level of shit, but I've always thought of how "easy" it would be for this to happen on a campus.

I pray for the families and friends, and the school morale. I also hope that Universities have city police that can handle this kind of insanity. Reports of shooting and dead, and you see a guy toting a gun, he should be brought down at first sight. *sigh*

well here's my theory on the whole thing....guy goes to his girlfriend's dorm and argues with her about being cheated on, RA tries to calm him down, he shoots the RA and the girl, kills both. then in the two hours between the shootings, he goes to car and loads up on supplies (guns/ammo/chains) and heads to wherever he thinks the guy who she cheated with might be in class, then just opens fire on everyone who won't tell him where the guy is. that makes the most sense to me, i guess we'll find out in a few days. either way, the whole situation is just completely ****ed. i'll be at the memorial tomorrow, still haven't found out if anyone i know was in the building.
