2 PM at cassell, they changed it....i heard something just now on CNN about a candlelight vigil tonight, but haven't seen any details about it.

well here's my theory on the whole thing....guy goes to his girlfriend's dorm and argues with her about being cheated on, RA tries to calm him down, he shoots the RA and the girl, kills both. then in the two hours between the shootings, he goes to car and loads up on supplies (guns/ammo/chains) and heads to wherever he thinks the guy who she cheated with might be in class, then just opens fire on everyone who won't tell him where the guy is. that makes the most sense to me, i guess we'll find out in a few days. either way, the whole situation is just completely ****ed. i'll be at the memorial tomorrow, still haven't found out if anyone i know was in the building.

Its really quite funny when people start talking about how society is going downhill and how we are becoming an increasingly morally bankrupt society. It's such a pile of bullshit. Sorry to burst your little idealistic view of the past, but people were the same manipulative, greedy, and base creatures back then that they are today.

But it is great instrument to directly inject scare tactic filled mass communications into our cultural bloodstream, with television, and reap the political rewards. Playing off your fear that society is going to hell-in-a-hand-basket is a propaganda weapon used to prod you into supporting a system of indoctrination and oppression.

Bad shit happens; It happened in the past and it will happen in the future. The only difference between the past and the present is that you are aware of all the bad shit happening all at once and your consciousness of the situation is used against you.

i just heard them said it was a 24 year old Chinese national, who arrived in this country last august on a student visa and may have made bomb threats last week to check out the schools security response system.

not sure, but it would probably go something like this:

friend of cheater: hey, remember that girl that you hooked up with the other day?

cheater: yea?

friend of cheater: she got shot by her boyfriend because she cheated on him with you. oh and he killed some r.a. that was in the way too.

cheater: that sucks. i'm just going to chill out in class.

Nobody knew who the girl was that got shot....anyway, just found out one of my friend's little sisters is among those killed. ****....RIP

this is amazing....from wut i understand there was a full campus gun ban or somethin liek that not too long ago...i wonder if there wasn't that ban, then someone might could have save a bunch of lives...but who knows....but ye maan i bet there's gonna be alot of talk about gun control an how they should ban it...

Wow...crazy stuff going on here in campus. I was in class at Whittemore during that time and we went on lockdown. My friend and I snuck out to go back to our dorms, though. One of my friends was in GPS Theory and Design in Norris...got shot twice in the leg...he's ok, but a little hungry in ICU.

I'm hearing all these reports on how this should have been avoided, and it's all really pissing me off. This was an unpredictable act by a lone person...and could have happened on any campus. The fact that reporters and people are trying to put blame on someone (notably, Steger) is completely ridiculous.
