vr2000d vs 2500d

orion 2500d? lot of 2500d's out there.

the crossfire is not rated to be 1 ohm stable, although i ran mine like that for almost a year. if you have a real strong electrical, it's a nice amp, but i'd probably go for something rated to run at 1 ohm.

Crossfires are highly underrated and if it is modded to see a lower ohm load IMO it will do more power than the Orion. Unless the Orion is being ran below 1 ohm. Remember Crossfire is rated at 12.5v!

You have tons of users on here that will stand behind the Orion 2500D, as it's a solid street beater. I know a few guy's that run it @ a half ohm daily with no problem. I wish I could add something about the Crossfire amp, but I have yet to see that particular model in action.

if you had the choice of picking up a like new vr2000d or a used 2500d and your in need of running at least 2500x1 @ 1ohm off 14v which amp do you pick?
keep in mind the vr is a little bit cheaper than the orion...
That should answer ur question right there.Unless ur looking for that extra .xx db, what ever u can get the best deal on.To the ear u will not hear a difference of a couple hundred watts.

could anyone tell me what exactly has to be modded for the crossfire to run at 1 ohm? i was told it was modded when i bought it, but i was under the belief it was to handle more voltage. right now mine is on its way to zed audio to be repaired, so i'd like to know what has to be done so i can have him check if it has been, or do it for me if not.
