Vote To Impeach Bush

In a day and age after Watergate, for one, I simply can't hold an unshakable view of the office of the President...he's a man, nothing more.
yes just a man. a figurehead. this country is run by an elite group of 12 people called the patriots, censoring everyhing they don't want the public to hear/see.

As for something with credit:
the fact that we are in war in IRAQ. The administration did not have sufficient information and intel to support that war. Its great that we got Saddam but OSAMA is the one that attacked us... but he is still out there...
That same misinformation and faulty intel was being bandied about by the White House during the entire Clinton administration and by the majority of our industrialized allies as well.

Better than a dozen UN resolutions and more than a decade worth of time to comply with even the first one later...Hussein's repeated failure to do so provided us with plenty of reason to invade his country. You think we were wrong? Well, unlike Hitler in WWII we still have Mr. Hussein as a guest. You're free to attempt to free him and re-establish his reign in Iraq. (but I'd wager there are millions of Iraqi citizenry that might take issue with your efforts)

I didn't see this massive outcry of protest during the Clinton administration when Mr. Clinton decided it would be prudent to authorize the widespread airstrikes of various Iraqi targets to, and I quote, "eliminate Mr. Hussein's nuclear and chemical capabilities".

To those that believe in whole or in part that we went to war in Iraq over oil....well, now that we are in dire need of it would someone mind please show me where this oil we went to war for is? There are some folk in Atlanta, GA paying close to 6 bux/gallon for gas that certainly would like to know, I'm sure.

I, in no way, wholeheartedly agree with everything that the Bush administration is doing. His policies on immigration...OMG!! I'll not bother to go on...

But for our now - our right now with everything that the United States has on its collective plate at the moment - GWB is the best man for the job, IMHO, by far. Senator Kerry couldn't come up with any concrete ideas of his own (as is the case with most of those with any degree of political power who affiliate themselves with the 'left').

All he had of any substance (which was rather unsubstantive, actually) was that he disagreed with Bush.

Fine. Disagree with Bush all you like. That is your right as well as your priviledge. Give us a better idea instead of nothing more than "I hate Bush! I disagree with Bush! I could do it better than Bush! Vote for me!" and I'll definately give you some consideration.

Until that point in time? Well, the simplest response is STFU kthnxbye //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Maybe Acid's admonition that this thread would be monitored pretty closely actually kept everyone in line enough that we could manage to act like adults for more than 15 seconds //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

He went off info he had to go to war. We later found that this info was outdated but Bush apparently wasn't willing to take the chance. Just because he went off info from past presidency intelligence isn't enough to impeach him.

As for economy be ready for a recession. Some pretty bad times could be ahead. This is going to put even further strain on those housing bubbles. I'm not sure how we're going to get out of this one, as the government spent a whole bunch of money to get us out of the last one and can't really cut interest rates with the inflation we're suffering. Pesonally I feel caps should be put on the oil company profits and a threat should be put on OPEC to increase supply. The gas stations are packed in my area right now, which is probably penny pinchers thinking they're saving themselves money when they are really going to cause a huge surge in demand causing the gas prices to go up further and because this industry loves screwing us over the gas stations will maintain the elevated prices at least in my area.

that is true.
however his stance was "i dont think its the governments right to push laws on abortion on people" which may as well have been a quip to tie in the middle.

not that the president in control's character *really* matters though.

presidents are politicians, not people.
Can we please get off abortion laws? Abortion is still legal we have more important things to worry about right now. I Don't understand. Our economy is on the verge of a recession and possibly and depression and yet people are more worried about gay marriage and abortion remaining legal. All energy politically should be spent on the energy issues the US faces and how to fix or rebuild the economy and how to speed up the withdrawal from Iraq. Next we need to bring up issues with the WTO and the Free trade agreements we are a part of and the fact that we're getting screwed in exporting our goods. Connected with this is the issue with China stealing electronic patents from US companies through the use of computer viruses along with them copying products that are protected by patents. Gay marriage and abortion are the least of our worries.

Why don't we focus on issues that affect all americans, rather than trying to keep a select few happy.
