As for something with credit:
the fact that we are in war in IRAQ. The administration did not have sufficient information and intel to support that war. Its great that we got Saddam but OSAMA is the one that attacked us... but he is still out there...
That same misinformation and faulty intel was being bandied about by the White House during the entire Clinton administration and by the majority of our industrialized allies as well.
Better than a dozen UN resolutions and more than a decade worth of time to comply with even the first one later...Hussein's repeated failure to do so provided us with plenty of reason to invade his country. You think we were wrong? Well, unlike Hitler in WWII we still have Mr. Hussein as a guest. You're free to attempt to free him and re-establish his reign in Iraq. (but I'd wager there are millions of Iraqi citizenry that might take issue with your efforts)
I didn't see this massive outcry of protest during the Clinton administration when Mr. Clinton decided it would be prudent to authorize the widespread airstrikes of various Iraqi targets to, and I quote, "eliminate Mr. Hussein's nuclear and chemical capabilities".
To those that believe in whole or in part that we went to war in Iraq over oil....well, now that we are in dire need of it would someone mind please show me where this oil we went to war for
is? There are some folk in Atlanta, GA paying close to 6 bux/gallon for gas that certainly would like to know, I'm sure.
I, in no way, wholeheartedly agree with everything that the Bush administration is doing. His policies on immigration...OMG!! I'll not bother to go on...
But for our now - our right now with everything that the United States has on its collective plate at the moment - GWB is the best man for the job, IMHO, by far. Senator Kerry couldn't come up with any concrete ideas of his own (as is the case with most of those with any degree of political power who affiliate themselves with the 'left').
All he had of any substance (which was rather unsubstantive, actually) was that he disagreed with Bush.
Fine. Disagree with Bush all you like. That is your right as well as your priviledge. Give us a better idea instead of nothing more than "I hate Bush! I disagree with Bush! I could do it better than Bush! Vote for me!" and I'll definately give you some consideration.
Until that point in time? Well, the simplest response is STFU kthnxbye //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
