i find it odd. that monsoon in that one asian country (i ferget) once it hit, we sent rescue workers right away. when LA got hit by Katrina, he waits how long to at least consider help?

I swear politics is just one giant POPULARITY CONTEST.

how we look to other countries is more important than helping our own out.

He waited until he had the full assessment. What like 6 hours after the storm. If you look at the aspect with common sense you would see, calling in reserves, National guards takes time. You need to pull them from there everyday jobs. Get them to a transport (we are sending 7 ships from san diego FYI). Get the ship ready for deployment(food, crew, munitions...) then send them. We are even sending the USS Mercy. The same ship that went to help in the tsunami aid. It is a Hospital/medical supply ship the size of a carrier.

I am sick of hearing the media ramble on about how long it is taking to get support over there. They are trying to find something in this tragedy to use to their own agenda...

no no i think your thinking the other way around.

For the Tsunami he takes like you said... 6 hours. i mean all the effort goes into helping other countries out, and he waits how long attend to Lousisana? its like i said. Politics is just a BIG popularity game with other countries. who can help out more?

If people would actually look at what has happened in the last 5 years during Bush's 2 terms.. they would see that he has delt with 9/11, captured one of the most dangerous men in the world AND is now dealing with what they are calling the worst natural disaster since 1909. You say we he puts more effort into helping other countries, then our own. That is totally false. I don't know why people are throwing a fit about how long it's taking to get our national guardsmen down to LA, but you have to realize that these are real people too.. and like everyone else.. they have everyday jobs and familys. I believe the National Guard is soposed to give their unit's 2 days in advanced before they are actually shipped out. People should just stop *****ing and complaining and actually support our country and president.

ur dumb. plain and simple, sorry to inform u. like it has been stated, IT TAKES TIME!, if 2 days is a long time, im sorry. and dont say it was anymore than that, because i have talked to a SHIT LOAD of NG boys and girls that headed there the morning AFTER the storm.

he would ruin his pants if he lined his pockets with oil....i dont think hes THAT dumb by any means lol. the money and research that he pulled away from the levee wouldnt have done SHIT in this situation except waste all time money and effort. this storm would have owned new orleans either way. shit it wouldve went around new orleans lol and hit it still....IT WAS THE SIZE OF THE GULF!!!
