Damn right I'm serious, The Reagan admin set the ground that made everyone think that deficit spending was ok. The Bush administration surely didn't help things at all. The Clinton administration not only balanced the budget, it wiped out the huge deficit created by the previous administrations (Reagan & Bush Sr.) and created a spending surplus that was pissed away as soon as Bush Jr took the reigns. So the poor people that are too lazy to get out and earn their OWN money should be given other peoples money... this is whats wrong with this country.... everyone wants everyone else to take care of them instead of doing something...

Now when all the RICH people and companies defect to other countries what happens then? This country will be a 3rd world country and all the poor *** people crying about rich people having money will be taxed to pay for the people running this country to live like they do now... ... You live in a ******* fantasy world bro. People on welfare & assistance aren't living luxuriously. And even if a few people are exploiting government assistance, which admittedly I'm sure does happen, a few bad apples don't spoil the entire orchard. And you have to admit, it's not like the people exploiting it are costing the country billions or even tens of millions of dollars a year.

The problem with this country is that people buy into these bullshit fantastical story generated by the rush limbaugh, fox news and the right wing in general. Things like "omg 6 cases of voted fraud MIGHT have happened, we need to hinder millions of americans from voting to stop those 6 cases!" or the notion that everyone is exploiting welfare. Like I said above, sure, people exploit the system, but it's not ruining our country. It's just a wonderful avenue that selfish people use to vent their frustration and legitimize their selfishness (and likely racism).

Seriously, look at welfare from an economic perspective. Let's say we cut it off completely. People on welfare do spend that money, correct? And spending is good for the economy, yes? So it's pretty obvious that welfare and the like benefit the economy. If it wasn't for welfare (very broad definition I'm using, by the way), the people on it would not only basically love any shot at economic success, but they stop spending money. Do you know why unemployment is bad? Because the unemployed people don't spend (as much) money. Entire the downward spiral. So we can conclude that the more people spend, the better the economy is. Welfare keeps people spending, so it's good for the economy.

Now, of course the argument I'll get back is "well it'd be money better left untaxed and it would get spent anyway!" Well, obviously that's just not true. The top 1-3% of people bare the majority of the tax burden, as the should. So the majority of taxes come from rich people who would either save that money (which does absolutely nothing for the economy) or spend it on lavish items that employ few people. For example, what would be money spent that employs more people? $100,000 on a fancy car/boat/whatever, or $100,000 worth of spending at small business?

I donno, what happens when aliens invade and they want all of our toilets???? Where will we poop??? We must develop a toilet free pooping system NOW!

... I mean, we can come up with crazy what ifs all day long, just because you can say it doesn't make it true. If rich people were going to defect, they would have done it long ago, like when our top tax rate was above 90%.

I am convinced Ron Paul is secretly funded by the democrats or the obama administration. The reasoning behind that is if the republicans split their vote between Ron Paul(independent) and Romney(Republican) then that increases the chance obama has to win. Takes the votes away from Romney

Is it too much to ask that ppl show proof of citizenship in order to vote. Or simply ID. How is it that one can vote for the president of the United States without ID but you cant go to the bar, or buy cigs w/out one. You had to show ID to get into a venue just to watch Eric Holder speak. If more people worked instead of getting a welfare check there would be more earned income to tax and less taking of other people's tax money for them to play "WOW" on their couch. And racism is an ignorant comment. Its not the everyday man's fault that the majority of people living in poverty stricken neighborhoods happen to be black, or mexican, or whatever. Even the "white man" is getting his share of poverty these days. But its all part of the governments plan to divide and conquer, to cause class warfare for lack of a better term. And to get everyone on some osrt of government paycheck so they can tell the people how and what to do in order to keep getting their "free money"
