im curious about this, not that it is a problem perse.

when i had my stocks (with my new HU installed) at volume 25 it was really loud

now, i just barely hear it at 25, and gets teh same loud around 48-50.

not that its a problem, but why could this be? different amps?

did you put an amp to the aftermarkets? could be the gain.

yae its aftermarket amp and aftermarket speakers

It's better that way. Otherwise, if you cranked it to 45-50 as it was before, you'd clip the shit out of the amp, and possibly blow the speakers. This will prevent you from doing that.
