Okay, I have a 10" kicker comp VR, and I need a smaller box to fit in the very back of my new car.
The box I have now is vented, and WAY too huge for the car. The min. volume recommendation for the sub is 0.80 cu. ft. (from crutchfield) when I can only find boxes of 0.75 and 0.65 cu. ft. that would fit in my situation (has to be LESS than 10" in depth, so that I can turn it on it's back and fit it back there)
My Circuit City has a truck box (only like 6.5" deep) that would work good, however it is only 0.75 cubic feet. Would the 0.05 cu. ft. make any difference..? I may have to resort to building my own box (never done before, i'd rather spend $$$ for a REAL box).
Thanks.
