does this work like a bass boost or is it another volume control?

I use the sub volume output on my deck.
Then I have an Audio Control Epicenter for music that doesn't have bass. Most new rap music I leave it off. My older music it helps a lot.

the pac-LC1 is a volume control. its a rca level control not a bass boost. it can be used with any amplifier using rca inputs.

i do have a sony xec-1000 that i can hook on but wanted something i can control from the front.

PAC Lc1? it should only control the bass and not the volume?
nothing is going to control the bass on the radio. if you want to control the sub output (which is bass) then yes it will control the bass. if you want it to control the bass levels the radio produces you need a sound processor for that. what is "your" definition of bass? and how do "you" want to control it?

i want to control the sub output..
then use the lc1 on the sub rca. end of discussion!!!!! it will control the sub volume.....
