probably not stable at 1.33 ohms. Even if it is it might not do any more than 400w or so. Again 125-150w per sub.

Something I forgot to mention, and for your benefit as a newbie...

That "1850w" amp -- not 1850w at all, not even in the vicinity. 1850w is some ambiguous number the marketing department thought they could sell. Unless a power rating clearly states RMS it tells you nothing about how powerful the amp actually is. Some cheap brands will even get out of hand with their RMS ratings which is another reason the budget gear is hit-or-miss at best.

Max, peak, dynamic etc -- same story for all of them. Same goes for speakers.

If you read through the specs on that "1850w" amp it says right there that it's 350w and for $135 that's about what you're going to get.

Those subs probably couldn't handle a true 400 a piece anyway...

Well, the "1000w (peak)" Visonik 10's (108d4's) are 500w rms, so if OP's 10's are "2000w (peak)" it seems pretty likely ~400w won't be a problem.

yeah, visonik is not they way to go man. my first setup was 2 of thier 12's, and i hated them.

im not trying to be mean or anything, im just trying to make your music more enjoyable. i would buy anything from kicker, rockford, hell maybe even a kenwood would do you alot better. look around at some things, get an idea of what setup you wanna get. throw em to us, and well help you.

yeah man. if you didn't buy anything just yet then just wait a bit. if you do have the subs right now then try to sell them for what you can.

if you give us a budget of how much you can spend on the system then you could be recommended some more quality product.

don't forget to look into the classifieds section of the forum. you can find some **** good deals on wayyyyyy better equipment.

Reputation wise the HF's better than the Lanzar, but that amp is a derivative of an amp that was THE powerful/affordable amp to have a few years ago, and it's been revised and improved since then.

The problem with Lanzar is that they used to be bad *** several years ago - top quality, built in america. Then, like most other companies, they sold out to a conglomerate, now it's all Korean and Chinese equipment, and a lot of their cheaper amps are WAY over-rated so they've almost completely fallen out of the "quality" equipment market with the exception of the Optidrive gear, but even Opti is barely hanging on.

All things considered I think the HTG2600d is a decent quality amp - refurb or not. Cost vs. performance I think it's very comparable to the HF.

So i think im going to take your advice n2.. and get that refurbished amp.. the price is just perfect and im going to try it with my system.

also, i want to try to system out in my car first and make my own decision on the matter. plus, i can always resell them for $200 where i paid $100 (someone has offered for them)

but if you'd like to help, il looking to spend no more than $500 altogether on a system that will be put in an 01 maxima se with a bose stero system, already existing.

ill post pics of it fully installed soon.
