what are some of the best voice coils for subwoofers and what are some of the worst voice coils to look out for when buying a subwoofer.
you read between the lines //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifIt depends on the type of sub you're looking for.... A big power sub will generally have a 3''-4'' coil, made from copper or aluminum. Aluminum might be better because of it's cooling properties (It cools off faster than it does getting warm, if that makes sense).
While I read the question and fully understood what he was asking, you sit and try to find a wiring diagram for the guy.you read between the lines //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
So you let him look for a random subwoofer on the fact the voice coil is alum? His question wasn't clear, that's allWhile I read the question and fully understood what he was asking, you sit and try to find a wiring diagram for the guy.
Take your sh!t elsewhere you fuggin troll.
ok so the aluminum coils are going to be the best for every day play and sorry i did not state that in my post guys.It depends on the type of sub you're looking for.... Well it really depends on how much power you want to run. Copper coils are on a lot of subs. So if you don't run that much power, don't worry about it.ok so the aluminum coils are going to be the best for every day play and sorry i did not state that in my post guys.
generally a subwoofer comes with one coil. sometimes its offered in a secondary impedance for more amplifier options. for example, you might be able to get one subwoofer in a 2 ohm or a 4 ohm. Those are different gauge voice coils. One coil is actually thicker than the other, but genearlly only very slightly. The steel gap plate is also compensated for the difference in coil thickness so that the usually the thiele small parameters are very similar for both impedances. Sometimes you'll see dual or even quad voice coils. These are identical to single voice coils except the coil is cut in half and then you have the options of connecting back in series or parallel. The advantage here is that you can connect it back in parallel and reduce the resistance further to draw more current from the amplifier at the same voltage. This of course puts most amplifiers at higher risk because they are producing more power and generating more heat.what are some of the best voice coils for subwoofers and what are some of the worst voice coils to look out for when buying a subwoofer.
