no, not all voice coils are always shiny and copper/orange colored

i don't see how it can be that bad its an fi btl 15 fully loaded and I'm running it off of an audioque 2200. i only clip it in burp situations.

I believe that's normal. My old fi btl looked exactly like that.

its good just a darker coil. why would it have a round wire coil if fully loaded?
