oh, i did that on purpose. believe it or not, it was still playing with the coil in that condition. it wouldnt move until i threw a lot of power at it, but it would still play.

i'm tuned to 37 hz, and was playing 10-20hz tones at full tilt with no SS filter. good times.

they were copper coils, motors are all stripped down, aluminum recones in boxes in my garage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif that is indeed from one of my hdc3s.

How much power was on that coil?? It got hot!!!LMAO
a memphis 4k @ 1 ohm between the 2 subs. i was pushing it into heavy clipping, i'm sure. spent a couple of weeks driving around attempting to kill both subs and they just wouldnt die... the other one still played good as new when i cut it up, this one obviously had a couple of minor problems, but it would play under heavy power.

That's almost exactly what a wall socket does to subs after I plug them in.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Good job on finishing those off.

Buff it out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Definitely just peed myself (only a little)... at 4x rated power, I'm amazed that it wasn't catching fire. Good work AQ for amusing us, even post-mortem.
