Vista Is The Sh!t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope your experience is better than mine, I tried to do a 3 way boot between xp vista 64 bit and ubuntu fiesty fawn, when I installed ubuntu it wiped everything clean in the other partitions. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

hm...something to keep in mind....apparently UBUNTU requires it's own 2 partitions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif which means I will be installing yet another hard drive in my already overcrowded tower

Ok...not really.
I just put UBUNTU on a disk and it is better running via cd than vista or xp that are already installed:D

I am going to dualboot UBUNTU and give it a shot:woot:

CLIFS: UBUNTU is crazy fast and thus far powns MS.
Ubuntu is awesome for a Dual boot OS, but it doesn't and won't own MS until it gains market share and people develop for it. the average consumer wouldn't care for Ubuntu and using repos to install open source apps. I do love the OS though.

it may be even more than that, I know it requires an entire partion for virtual memory and swap file. This is how I f'd up and screwed my computer all up

I guess that's what happens when you don't know enough about it.

I currently use pardus linux. good stuff.

In the past I have used Pardus, ubuntu, debian, arch, pc-bsd and a bit of slack. I like pardus or debian the best, ubuntu was decent, liked kubuntu better however. I'm a kde kinda guy... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
