I am wanting to run one of those V4000XD amplifiers at 4ohms to my AQ HDC315 D2 I can get this amp for $380 locally new. I will have 2 batts and a 250A alternator and 1/0 wire. And charging voltage is around 14.4V.

Its supposed to put out 2500wrms @ 4 ohms. Which is perfect for my COPPER coiled sub.

Or should I buy a GP4000D PRO which I could get at 450 at my door. But the problem is im a little weary of running 3000wrms at my HDC315.

I had ordered a US Amps MD3D but IkeSound wants copies of my drivers liscence and debit card faxed over, thats alot of hassle so I just decided to see what other options I have in amps.

I also want to run the hell out of my sub, if it blows ill just have it reconed with an aluminum coil. I want to get the most out of my sub, but I dont want to intentionally blow it, whats the most power I should run to my HDC315? Its in a 3.6cuft enclosure tuned to 38Hz.

??????????????

i don't think he's got the real ikesound, they don't need that. Identity theft in 3...2...1
Yeah thats basically why I didnt want to send in my info. I dont want anyone interfering to be the wiser. Well they did say I could also pay with PayPal and not send in my info. So i'm not sure whats the problem with my debit card. It has the money I needed avaliable, I dont know why theyre being picky.

So it sounds like you guys want me to run 3k to my HDC3 huh. I dont trust myself sometimes. I guess I might have to be very conservative with the gain. Anyone know the amperage draw of a GP3000D at full tilt?

If I blow the sub I believe the aluminum recone kit is only like $100 bux. But the problem is I've never done one, but theres only one way to learn.

So everyone in agreement the GP3000D is the amp for me? Anyone know where I can get it cheaper than $450 shipped? But brand new, cause I want warranty.

run 3k like everyone is saying, plus you wont even be seein a real 3k after imp rise and efficiency of the amp, you will probably be giving it 2200 so youll be fine just set your gains moderately.

say the amp puts out 3000 wrms @ 1ohm and is 80 % efficient, you already lost 600 wrms and plus imp rise.

you'll be fine

the output rating should have already factored in efficiency //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
Yeah that was my thought when I read the post above. So in reality the amp will be ******* enough juice to produce 4280 watts if it were 100% efficient. But since its like lets say 70% efficient @ 1 ohm it will put out 3000wrms @ 1 ohm.

A question about impedance rise. is it constant across all frequencies? Or does it change with a change in frequency?

I think you'll be ok with that sub and amp. I think AQ will also do the recone at no charge if you send it in and buy their soft parts.
Yeah but shipping will kill me for the sub. It will be like 180 in the end for a recone. I might as well sell the sub locally before I blow it for like $200 bux and put that towards a new Al version of the HDC3. I will only be spending like $120 extra to get the AL coil version.
