i was just thinking a 200 amp alt. Maybe this amp isn't for me.

That's overkill, you don't need all of that. Get your alt, then get a decent batt upfront and in the back. You should be fine after that.

$300 for a V800HC? Your paying for a Class A/B amp that is purely high current and has nothing for internal parts? Save your money for a worthy amp.
