okay, ive been dealing with issues with my head unit i bought from sonic electronix for some time now.
long story short:
had a cd5000 head unit. had issues with it, display colors, not working prop, etc.
sent it back, they told me eclipse takes 6-8 weeks for repair. called eclipse, they said it takes them 3-5 days. complete bold face lie is what SE's warranty manager told me.
eventually got it worked out where i would pay another $20 + shipping and get the 5100 so i dont have to wait for the 5000.
got the 5100, someone threw out the main box which had some screws and the remote in it, so i dont have the remote or the extra screws. head unit is FUXED.
cd's wont eject even after resetting the unit and disconnecting power.
SE is telling me since i dont have the original box, i may not be able to have the unit warranty replaced or repaired, and they also said a wait time of 8 weeks.
IM NOT FKING WAITING 2 MONTHS for a repair. if you only knew the BS ive been going through with them, worst customer service, EVER...and i work in customer service, so i know what good CS is.
ANYWAY not to make this a vendor review;
i was considering contacting Visa to have the amount that i originally paid plus the difference refunded to my card if i send back the unit with proof (tracking + confirm of receiving)...i worked for a .com company who had "chargebacks", basically disputes they didnt win...the customer had to either send the purchased stuff back and got a credit, or they sometimes got to keep the merchandise and still got the credit.
i was wondering how do i go about basically trumping SE's retarded, rude and ignorant CS and get my money back for their broken *** head units (given i send it back)
