virtual memory

i just got a pop up on my pc saying im running out of my virtual memory, in about 8 years this is the first time ive gotten this..does this mean i have too many programs and i need to delete what i dont really use?

It means you either need to increase the amount of physical memory (RAM) or increase the size of your page file.
To increase the size of your page file, right-click on My Computer, select Advanced, click on Performance Settings, select Advanced, click on Change under Virtual Memory, increase the amount.

when i right click i dont see the advanced button all i get are, open,explore,search,manage,map network drive,disconnect network drive, and rename

currently allocated 672mb

what should i raise it too?

ok i changed the amount so i hope all works well now, but since yesterday my cursor has been freezing on me so i had to go to safe mood and do a system restore,, man this week my comp has been giving me hell..
