Okay Im confused. If they are all the same and everything why would you choose the viper when its the most expensive. And the 1100d had the remote bass knob too.

OMG A REMOTE BASS KNOB??!

That will only give you more of a chance to kill your subs... A remote bass knob is junk IMO.

The DEI products do not use remote "bass" knobs, they are remote gains, which will increase or decrease your gain at the turn of the knob, BUT, the max on the knob will be the lvl that was physically set on the amplifier itself.

If you do not believe me, ask Tracy what the Kicker amps do with thier knobs. I have searched and come to the conclusion that the DEI products do the same (the old ones at least) and I even think I remember Tracy agreeing with me in one of the most repetitive conversations.

If you do a sbs comparo of the Dei and the Viper amplifiers, the components are exactly the same, which should tell you something....

it does...but the same components in a diff order yeid diff results....i just wonder if dei 1100 puts out as much as 1500...i have chance to buy both for my rlp's and if the 1100 is 1200 rms and 1500 is 1300 i dont think i will hear 100 watt diff if thats all it is.....however if the differance is 1200 and 1400+ i may want the 1500 for future systems....the 1500 is 195 used shipped or 155+ shipping refurb.

Hey id like to know this too then casue i plan to buy a viper 1200.1 but if its the same why not get the cheaper one so which one are you guys sayin to buy?

Okay, didnt know that.. But even still, I do not see the purpose of a remote knob of any kind in the cabin. And I do not think it should effect a decision when buying an amplifier.

It comes in handy more than you would think, unless you are always in the mood to listen to a system with a lot of bass or always are satisfied with the bass you have or unless your system is perfectly matched to every single song you listen to with change required.

Whats the difference between the SSF's?

the dei 1100d&1500d have preset subsonic filters were the viper 1200.1 ssf can be adjusted to to fit your subs and box tuning

its not stupid to ask...all you guys ever say is that they are the same,they are the same,they are the same,they are the same,they are the same, noone ever said that one actually put out more power then the other....the viper 1200 and dei 1100 are the same so ill get the 1500...thanks...they are all 1ohm stable anyway

I dont believe the 1500d's have ever been tested and proven to put out more than a 1200.1 or a 1100d, just a different model name for a different year.

someone benched the 1200.1d and got 1342 out of it.
