viper 791xv remote issues

I'm replacing a remote that is falling apart. I programed the new remote but when I push lock on the remote my vehicle remote starts and non of the other buttons respond. My old remote still works correctly.

Remotes appear to be the same, the FCC ID # is the same too.

Any ideas?

You programmed it incorrectly. just do an autolearn... or swing down to my shop thursday and I can look at it real quick for you. i assume midland is midland, michigan?

*edit* 9 is shortrun/turbo mode. that is why it was starting.

Yay! It worked. I was doing it 9 times because that was the best instructions I could find. During the midst of trying other combinations, I managed to get the lock button to lock and aux to remote start, however I know it wasn't correct. Hopefully I didn't mess anything up. I tried settings 6-13. Everything seems to be working correctly. This was on an 02 chevy silverado auto.
