viper 791xv question

I have the 791xv installed and i somehow i set it off and i could couldnt make alarm stop going off until i turned ignition on. how do u make the alarm stop from going off? i read the manual it says press arm I did it did nothing, i pressed all buttons? Also when i left door open and armed it it didnt have door icon on remote do i have to buy extra part for it to tell if doors or hood open?

i push the disarm button on the remote to silence the alarm. haven't tried yet playing with the valet switch but pushing that should also shut off the triggered alarm
