Viper 791VX issues

Ok my alarm has been acting up. It will unlock and lock but the remote start won't work, nor will it show that the car is locked on my remote, even when it is. Also everytime I hit a button it beeps like its out of range. Any ideas? Don't really feel like taking to the shop. Also the light will flash like normal when armed and the siren will sound as normal.

Remote is more than likely going bad then... you could try reprogramming it or having the shop that installed it do it for you.

I think he is talking about the chin trick to increase your range. He is implying that your chin is bad.

I have a really big head so my 791xv with the chin trick dwarfs my friends 5900sst in range.

check the antenna connection on the brain...if u didnt install it yourself i would take it to whoever did before u void your warranty.

ive had problems with my remote like that sometimes, i really dont know what solves it until i put a real good battery into it

The chin trick is when you touch the antenna of your remote to your chin, it greatly increases your range. Try it sometime. Go to an area where your alarm is not communicating with your remote. Still close, but just out of range. Touch the remote to your chin and press a button. The alarm will respond. It works.

Man I dont care how big your head is, a 5900 thats installed properly is gonna spank any 791 for range
