Viper 791 & Viper GPS System Not Talking To Each Other

I already had a Viper 791 installed in my 69 vette and decided to add teh Viper GPS system after my other GPS system never worked. So I had a local shop install the system and then of course my luck when I pick up the car and go home to register it the GPS system was never setup by the installer. So I took car back next day and they contacted Viper to go through the install and now its works...or so I thought. I noticed after a few weeks usage that when my alarm goes off (full alarm) that I don't get a voicemail or email from my GPS system saying my alarm has been triggered. All other GPS functions work perfectly as I found out when my battery died and then I had to get it flat bedded (unauthorized movement) and also my speed minder works...but the I don't get the notifications when the alarm is triggered. The GPS system is plugged into the bit writer port of the 791 brain as it is a 2? pin connector and I don't see anything else from the GPS system that could get plugged into the brain.

So does the shop some how need to tell the GPS system to recognize the alarm via bit writer?

Do they need to access the alarm brain or can they use the multi-pin connector plug coming from the GPS unit?

Thanks...
