vinyl sticker placement

hey all,

I just bought a JL audio vinyl sticker to put on my truck (I have 2 12JL W3V3). I was thinking of putting it on the very back side of the car, right beside the back door. Do you think this vinyl sticker would look bad if I stick it on the paint? It is a white JL AUDIO sticker that would be mounted to a silver car.

Not wanting to be rude, but I would suggest sticking it in the trash can. If you put the sticker on your truck then all you are doing is saying "Hey thieving scum, I have some JL equipment in here, come along and steal it from me"

I don't think the sticker would look bad, I just think that with so many criminals around it's not worth it.

If you want to advertise that you've invested your hard-earned money on quality car audio gear and raise the risk of someone liberating it from you then that's your business, I reckon.

The wisdom of doing so (or lack thereof) notwithstanding...

Were it me I wouldn't apply it to the paint. Should there come a time in the future that you quit running JL Audio gear or if you simply decide you don't want the decals on there then removing it from a painted surface may not be that simple. If you're going to put them on at all I would suggest putting them on a window to where they'll be easier to remove in the future should you decide you want them gone.

o no... that's one thing u dont want to do. putting a JL sticker on your car. like what he said above. it will only attract theives. these theives are so pointless to car audio that think JL Audio is the god of all audio woofers. So 100% no no no in placing a sticker on your car.

To be honest, I would guess that a thief does not really give a sh*t whether it is a JL Audio or an Xplod sticker. At the end of the day all they care about is making a bit of money, and fu*k anyone else.

I am sure some know that JL is better than brand X, but most probably just see a sticker, know its something to do with car audio, and decide to steal it.

I live in an area where there aren't very many people stealing car audio euiptment. I don't have to worry about that where I live. If I choose to sell the car later, then how would I get the sticker off? Is there an easy way?
