hey guys,

ive had this sub around forever, and i cant seem to kill it.

here are some pix,

any how - I need some help identifying how old this sub is,

and if its rated power #s on the bottom are real or what.

I used to feed this sub 150w from a rf 150/2 bridged

and it was ok but never serious, - now the sub is in a big 4th order bandpass box I specificly designed and tuned for that sub, - and its getting 320w rms at 4 ohms in my buddys ford explorer - and it just wont die!

tripple rms power - it sounds amazing - shakes the seats of the truck when the bass line drops. you would think there is a whole gang of subs back there to make such serious bass. - I cant believe this sub has not fried yet.

why is this alpine vr able to take tripple rms and not die - but the new ones keep droping out on everyone?

who has any ideas how old this 12" is?

ive had it in my posession for about the past 8 years - but I got it second hand from a buddy. so it has to be older than 8.

how old?

and why is this sub able to take so much punishment?

tripple rms is insane.
