Vintage 73' Duster Project

Alright, so I'm putting a system in my 73' plymouth duster.

Yesterday, I got the shop to install the headunit and some 6x9s

HU - http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product.php?model=CDA-9884

6x9's - http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product.php?model=SPS-609

They had to do some cutting with the HU and 6x9s.

Next up, I'm getting 2 of these (only have 1 so far) - http://www.dls.se/en/car/prod.html?produkt=en_138

Then, all I need is an amp. I have no idea on what to get...any suggestions?

Here are some pics (crappy quality sorry, and car is dirty)

x2 You got plenty of room in that bad boy! For an amp on those subs I would go form an AQ1200D. Can't go wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Lots of people say that...

Its my first car, only going to have it a few years. Once I get a new car I can take out all the audio and put it in my new car.

Also, when ever Im hittin some good bass, the lights on my headunit go dim. Like kinda flicker when it hits.

This amp should do well with the subs? http://www.audioque.com/aq/AQamps.htm

I already do race it, every now and then at the local strip.

Its not really in bad condition considering how old it is. The trunk is just really dirty.

The wiring should not be hanging like that. I expect a shop to know better. Even doing a side install at my house, in a hurry, I would do a better job hiding the wiring on the 6x9s instead of just letting them just dangle, look sloopy.

However, nice car, I like the Dusters and yours looks pretty solid. Good platform there to have a lil run under the hood and music as well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

I would never do this to an old muscle car. Waste of a car IMO.
I'd honestly fix it up, drop a blower on it, and go drag it.

yeah right, Subs in Old school cars are awesome

My babay 71 Gt Torino first car too

Treo TSX 15" off a RF T1000bd

DO it lol,

Im gonna tell you this too WIRING on old cars sucks alot

and so does the weak alt.

I went through 3 about 1 every 6months

Just run a switch Directly to the Batt, to your HU, it will keep it from dimming,

Mine used to cut off all the time,
