Hello all, new to the site and thought this would be the best place to pose my question after the Nisan Titan boards I didnt get a reply.

I inherited a rats nest of wires that relate to a DVD player and three monitors. I'm not too familiar with mobile video but I am pretty well versed in car audio. The three wires coming from each monitor have two wires, red and white. And a sheilded ground I assume. Whoever installed this system splice the three sets together. So the three video wires splice together and go to an RCA plug. Then the three power wires splice to the same power for the DVD payer, and the three sheilds/ grounds splice with the ground for the DVD player.

is this okay and I just need a signal booster or should the monitors and DVD player have separate power and grounds? ANY video knowledge shared is appreciated?
