What I dont get is that these people are sitting doing nothing, and complaining that they just lost their houses so they arent going to do anything...but when is it time to start doing something? Are they just going to sit on their *** forever and say "well my home was destroyed, fix it for me"..
we are just helping the lazy get lazier

I was calling the people who are using this as an excuse to loot lazy, and those not willing to help out their fellow man when others were,lazy.

This is just going to turn out very very bad. For every person who uses to buy food and essentials to survival, there will be 2 or 3 who will be spending it on smokes, liquor, or some crap that they don't need. I can almost guarantee it.

x28trillion, just like welfare and every other sytems the bums of this country leech off us all. I say they must die. The kids needs chit more than the adults anyways.

Not much else can be said that hasnt already been. Yeah it was a semi-good idea, hoefully peopel use it correctly and dont start complaining about it wasnt enough or that it was late or something. We'll see.

I think if they were going to GIVE an amount that could help them do what you mentioned they should have given them 5k... Idk, some/alot of people down there lost MORE than there homes... They have family members missing/dead...

if my math is correct 1million x's 2,000 is BILLIONS of dollars, 2k wont get them far I say screw it give it to them because the bottom line they still will have to work or do something after the money is gone

My area is fighting like hell to keep them out; we don't have enough housing for the low-income folks as it is. Plus once you give them subsidized or free housing they are there to stay and hell there goes the neighborhood. Our town is still highly segregated and has a higher crime rate per capita than NYC, go figure. I feel sorry for the victims who lost everything and they do need help but they need to work their ***** off as well. I'm tired of these people who have lived for generations off welfare. Everyone should have to work even the cripples; they can probably operate a tollbooth or something.

im a true believer that to get help, u have to WORK for it. get the best **** job possible for you, THEN see what u need. like u said....if ur in a wheel chair......work a toll booth or be an insprirational speaker if your that ype. do SOMETHING. there is o excuse to be homeless.... low income? yes....but not hardly. minimum wage these days is around 6 bucks everywhere. work fulltime and its more. if ur homeless, work full time and go to school. YES you make enough and have enough time.
