you cant really do much about it. secure it to the window to keep it from rattling, but you wont ever get the vibration out of it.

yeah i dont mind it vibrating all the time.. that part looks cool.. its just the annoying rattling sound it makes that bothers me. it is secured to the window.. but only at the base.. its the actual mirror part that rattles

remove it FTW if the rattling is too much........lots of ish rattles in my car (no sound deadener FTL) and the rear view mirror vibrates like a bish but no rattling....it's fallen off a few times ad the sucker is screwed to the base that is glued to the windshield LOL.....my biggest rattle is from my rear deck.....I love watching it dance LOL....

Just remove the rear view and learn how to use your side view mirrors.

Yea is there anything to do about the rear deck? Mine rattles bad and i would like to know if theres anything to lessen the rattle.

But back to topic. My rearview mirror vibrated bad. If it is an older car then you can prolly get an allen wrench and tighten it as far as it goes. I did that and doesn't rattle or vibrate much anymore.

a friend of mine used a fuse puller to lock the neck down in his car when we were younger, ive never tried because i never cared, most guys take them off...

i just let it fall, and put it back up when i need it...no big deal for me

Mine broke... like not feel off. But broke in half. In the middle of the braket that holdes to the metal peice on the windsheild to the other half where the "ball" is connected to the mirror it self. BROKE.

I just had to buy a new one off ebay... 30 bucks down the drain.

My rear view mirror has actually fallen off several times, I've ended up having to super glue it on, the mirror still rattles itself to the point where it is facing downward, it is basically an irrelevant part of the car, I just look behind whenever I'm switching lanes.

Many rearviews have a setscrew to adjust how tight they are (and how tight they are to move). If yours is this way, a few twists of a screwdriver might help. But more likely as said before, you're looking at getting a diff mirror, or living with it. Don't worry it'll fall off soon anyway, they always do. That factory glue just doesn't seem to last.
