Very serious question on my subs

Ok well I built these custom boxes for my two Alpine Type R's and I was wondering is there a set of subs that will sound better in the same boxes. Better SPL than these Type R's but about the same SQ? The measurements are as follows.

The Front is: 17inches wide and 14 inches high. There is a slot port 1 inch wide 12.5 inches high.

The Port: It goes about 11 inches deep inside the box and at the end has a 1 inch boot that points inwards. remember the port size is 1 inch wide and 12.5 inches high

The Sides: The sides of the box are 12inches wide and 12.5inches high.

The Top and bottom are: 17inches wide 12 inches deep.

The box: is a total 13.5inches deep I constructed them from 3/4 mdf and sealed the edges with caulking.

Does anybody know what this box is tuned to? I got these specs from an Alpine dealer and these are exactly the measurements he uses for his own boxes in his store. Are there any better 12" subs that wired in parralel send a 2 ohm load and are 600rms for the pair that will sound better than my Type R's in these boxes?

i dont know about kappa, i heard they blow easy, i think ur best bet would be the k's, i dont think there is any being sold right now on ebay, u would probably have to get them direct from elemental designs, 243$ for the pair aint that bad

Only one problem I need dual 2 ohm subs not dual 4 ohms I need to send a 2 ohm load to my amp. Thanks for the help any other options?

is ur amp mono or 2 channel?

The us acoustics amp is in the mail and its a mono class D amp. Puts out 600watts rms at 2 ohms. The reason why I bought it was specifically for my Type R's 600 watt rms for the pair of 1221D's dual 2 ohm subs. Perfect setup and perfect box im thinking of not changing the subs out now because well I set my whole system around these subs and to change them now would just be more trouble. I'd just run into more problems. Thanks for the help though. At least the Type R's arent crappy subs.
